Adam Taor is an author, journalist, and codirector of emotivate, a healthcare advertising agency in Sydney, Australia. He combines creativity and overly obsessive research to tell captivating true stories about medicine and health.
Adam’s writing story began when he got his medical degree in London, then quickly decided he was better suited to other pursuits. A few years, and 16,994 kilometers (10,560 miles), later he found himself in Sydney, working as a journalist. He has written for many publications; Bodypedia’s tales from your entrails, for example, began as a column in The Weekend Australian Newspaper.
Adam has also spent many years working in advertising as a writer and creative director. (It’s a jingle out there.) His agency, emotivate, started in 2009. Adam’s other books are There’s a Worm on My Eyeball! (Random House): stories for kids about infectious diseases. And Who’s Who in the Alphabet Zoo?: Can You Guess?, which he wrote for his eldest daughter, Matilda (Ruby still needs a book). Adam once had an escapology stage act but nowadays doesn’t feel the need to escape.
