I was born, educated and spent the first chapter of my working life in Queensland. My education was cut short – by me, due to the sheer boredom of it – and at the age of 15 I left to work on a milk run. I went on to work as a window cleaner, cocktail barman, wine waiter, clerk, car salesman and a guitarist/backing singer in a rather hopeless rock band. Eventually, I studied Law and was admitted as a solicitor. At 28, I owned my own law firm but after nine years in the tropics, I became bored with constant blue skies, gently swaying coconut palms and scuba-diving on the Great Barrier Reef, so I sold up and moved with my family to London. I practised there for many years, specialising in commercial litigation. In 2004 I returned to Queensland and now live with my daughter in the Gold Coast hinterland where I write full time. I began to write seriously some years ago. Before that, I had a number of published articles to my credit but the real love of my life now – apart from my family – is writing, mainly thrillers and crime/mystery/suspense novels. Late in 2009 I self-published one of my novels, “The Election”, My next novel, “Calvus” was published by Morris Publishing Australia in 2011, next came “Agnus Dei” published by Custom Book Publications, Hong Kong in February 2014, “Sleeping With Angels” in November 2014 and “A Dragon In The Snow” in October 2015. In July 2019 I self-published “Bounty” via Amazon and it is available as an eBook and as a paperback. In 2020, as a departure from writing thrillers, I published my memoir, “…Passing Through…” My latest novel, “Zeno”, is a sequel to my 2011 novel, “Calvus”. It too, has been self-published and is available on Amazon as a paperback and an eBook. Apart from writing I enjoy walking, swimming, travel, theatre, cinema, reading – thrillers of course – and I can still pen a song and play a decent tune on the guitar.
