After what seems like a lifetime spent in commerce and engineering, I now find myself with time to indulge my foremost passion – to write. My first published memoir ‘The Boy I Was – flawed memories of childhood’ seemed to emerge as if it was always there. Two other memoirs are works in progress; one about my father’s amazing early life, the other a travel memoir.
I am fascinated with the unreliability and mystery of memory. What we think we remember is so often incorrect. When we remember, it is in such a bizarre way. Ask yourself these questions: Do you remember in black and white, or in colour? Can you recall conversations, or just the gist of what was said? Can you see people clearly in your memories? Can you hear anything?
