Penelope Janu is an Australian author who writes contemporary fiction about clever and adventurous women who don’t mean to fall in love, but do.
Penelope has written three novels, In at the Deep End (Harlequin Mira, 2017, available Aus and NZ), On the Right Track (Harlequin Mira, 2018, available Aus and NZ), and On the Same Page (Brio Books, 2018, available worldwide) and a novella, The Six Rules of Christmas, in the anthology Our Country Christmas (Harlequin Mira, September 2018, available worldwide). Her next novel will come out with Harlequin Mira in late 2019.
Penelope is a lawyer with an interest in social justice issues and the environment. She, like her characters, is up for any adventure, even though she has a terrible sense of direction. She has six children, big dogs, a distracting husband and never enough time to write.
Penelope hopes readers will fall as passionately in love with her heroines and heroes as she invariably does. She has travelled to many places in the world but has lived most of her life in Sydney. When not reading or writing Penelope can be found walking the coastline, or in the bush. She’s recently ventured out on a 320km walk across England, and a 200km walk around Mont Blanc (warning: she’s not much of a walking companion as she plots as she walks).
