The Adventure Begins…

You stand on the edge of a vast, endless horizon, the unknown calling to you. There are countless paths to take.

Which will you choose?

  • You head towards the icy mountains where a glacial wind blows.
  • You move towards the forest, allured by a strange melody.
  • You turn to the northern town in the distance.

Keep your destination in mind as you venture forward… On your way to your destination, travel weary and tired. A stranger blocks the path ahead. They have a sharp blade in one hand, but you can see they are injured. What do you do?”

  1. Attack!! Only an enemy would block your road. Don’t take any chances.
  2. Appease the stranger with your harp and play a cheery tune. This might only be a fellow weary traveller.
  3. Approach wearily. You offer help as you see they are bleeding.
  4. Avoid the figure. Take a different path and continue on your way.

Find your answer below.

If you choose 1:

The stranger seems startled but quickly recovers, their eyes narrowing with suspicion. They raise their blade, meeting your strike with surprising skill. The clash of metal rings through the air as you both circle each other, each waiting for an opening.

Despite their skill, they seem slowed by their injuries. With a well-timed strike, you disarm them, sending their blade clattering to the ground. Now, they stand before you, panting heavily, eyes filled with a mix of exhaustion and fear.

You have faced death time and time again, but you’re a survivor. You’ve faced worse than this.

If you choose 2:

As the soft, melodic notes of your harp fill the air, the tension between you and the stranger begins to melt. The blade in their hand lowers slightly, their stance becoming less defensive. You continue playing, the music flowing effortlessly, hoping to calm their nerves.

To your surprise, the stranger’s eyes soften as they listen. After a long pause, they let out a deep sigh and lowered their weapon completely, dropping it to the ground with a heavy thud. They are not your enemy, just another frightened traveller.

If you choose 3:

As you move closer, the stranger’s face contorts in pain, and they collapse to their knees, blood staining the snow beneath them. Without hesitation, you kneel beside them, your heart racing. The stranger’s breath is shallow, their grip weak but desperate as they clutch something tightly in their hand.

“I… I can’t last much longer,” they whisper hoarsely, their voice barely audible. “But… the world needs you…”
