Sita Sargeant is the founder of She Shapes History, a social enterprise dedicated to uncovering and sharing the stories of women and queer people who have shaped Australia’s past. Through engaging walking tours in Canberra, she brings history to life, ensuring these often-overlooked narratives are given the recognition they deserve.

After spending seven months travelling across Australia researching and writing a women’s history travel guide, Sita is now on a mission to expand her tours to every capital city. With a passion for making history relevant, accessible, and unforgettable, she also plans to develop educational programs that inspire Australians to engage more thoughtfully with the past and the present.
