G’day! It’s Aussie Author Month, and we’re rolling out the red carpet for some up and coming Aussie authors to celebrate our backyard talent!
Australia is home to a dazzling array of authors whose works span genres and styles, each bringing their unique voice and perspective to the page. From heart-pounding thrillers to soul-stirring dramas, our local authors are crafting stories that captivate and inspire.
Samara Saward
Samara Saward is a Melbourne-based author with a passion for crafting enchanting tales filled with magical creatures and compelling heroines. When she’s not weaving her imaginative stories, you’ll find her indulging in her love for coffee, enjoying outdoor adventures like camping, or engaging in spirited Monopoly matches with her kids.
Samara Saward’s books offer a blend of magic, adventure, and unforgettable characters! Check out some of her works such as Jaded Wears the Crown: Chronicles of Radelea, and Legacy (Dragon’s Oath Book 1).
Tayla Dimov
Tayla Dimov, a vibrant author originally from the central coast of NSW, now resides in Sydney with her husband and children. Often found over-caffeinated and lost in thought, Tayla is dedicated to crafting captivating novels. When she’s not dreaming up her next story, she can be found with her nose buried in a book and her tabby cat curled up on her lap.
Her book Fallen Virtues (Angels of the Serpent Book 1) will be released on September 24th 2024 and immerses readers in a world where dreams have vanished, and a dark prophecy looms. Set in the war-torn continent of Reveria, the story follows Elora Ausrine, who begins to experience unsettling visions and disembodied voices after the Gods have disappeared.
Rebecca Alasdair
Rebecca Alasdair, a passionate writer from Melbourne, Australia, has been spinning tales since she first grasped a pencil. By day, she navigates the public sector, but by night, she transforms into a dedicated storyteller.
Her book Holding Up the Sky tells the story of Carter Cantwell, a high-achieving student who is hiding behind a façade of perfection while struggling with grief and anxiety. His carefully constructed world begins to crumble when he meets Remy, a vibrant and charming boy who challenges Carter’s defences and forces him to confront his deepest fears.
Alison L Robson
Alison L. Robson, an Australian author, is renowned for her Sweet series, a perfect blend of action, humour, and romance. If you’re a fan of fast-paced, action-packed narratives with laugh-out-loud moments and romance. When she’s not busy writing her next Sweet novel, Alison enjoys pottering around her garden, sipping iced lattes at her favourite café, and taking long drives down country backroads.
Her first book in the Sweet series starts with Sweetheart where Jen Sweet’s life is in a rut. her love life is non-existent, and she’s just broken her favourite pair of Jimmy Choos. These Sinful Delights is the first instalment in the Sinner’s Bay series. The novel kicks off with a night of no-strings-attached fun that takes an unexpected turn. After finalising her divorce, the protagonist seeks a night of passion at the hottest club in town, Rapture. However, the stranger she encounters turns out to be the head of the Irish Mafia, a fact that haunts both of them.
Errin Krystal
Errin Krystal, a fantasy romance author from regional Victoria, Australia, has been spinning stories since she was a child. With a creative mind always brimming with ideas, Errin started working on her first novel at just sixteen. Today, she balances her passion for writing with her role as a chef.
Falling Down Under is the First in the Seven Sisters Vineyard Books, about Georgia Bailey, a London socialite who loses everything. D.M. Barnham
D.M. Barnham, a Melbourne-based author and illustrator, brings her fascination with science fiction and fantasy to life through her imaginative storytelling. With a background in Physics and Astrophysics, D.M. combines her scientific knowledge with her love for speculative fiction to create unique and thought-provoking narratives.

His Sci-Fi book The Price of Royalty (Machina Novels Starring Beatrix Westwood Book 1) introduces readers to a universe where enhanced humans, known as machinas, navigate a lawless galaxy. The story follows Beatrix Westwood, a Valkyrie Huntress, on her daring mission to rescue a kidnapped princess amidst a chaotic backdrop of warlords and warring royal families.
