Daniel de Lorne writes dark tales of ruin, romance and redemption.
Since childhood, he has had a fascination with the gothic, attempting to reveal those dark worlds in fiction. At university he indulged his passion further and earned a creative writing Honours degree for his work on vampires.
And even though he went down a respectable route of full-time employment as a professional writer, photographer and web designer, he nevertheless continued to nurture his love of the macabre. It’s always the quiet ones…
Daniel’s first novel – the gripping gay romantic horror Beckoning Blood – was published by Escape Publishing in 2014. The sequel, Burning Blood, is due for release in May 2015, and the third and final book in the trilogy will come out in 2016. He is also working on a fantasy and a post-apocalyptic series of novels.
When he’s not creating imaginary worlds and creatures, he and his husband explore as much of this amazing world as they can, from the ruins of Welsh abbeys to diving beneath the waves and swimming with sharks.
