Danielle Clode Bio

Danielle Clode is an award-winning Australian non-fiction writer. Her books have been turned into a television documentary and inspired a perfume. Her childhood living on a boat and sailing around Australia have given her a passion for the natural environment and particularly for the sea.

She studied psychology and politics at university, and has a doctorate in zoology. She’s been a Rhodes scholar, a zookeeper and a scientific interpreter. Her books have won the Victorian Premier’s Nonfiction Prize, been shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council Awards and commended as Best Popular Zoology book by the Whitley Awards.
